A few weeks ago we went to Bottless 非瓶 in Taipei with our friends. I really wanted to try it since it was a collaboration between Affinato & Lunetta and Gen Creative (one of my favorite restaurants in Taipei). The appetisers and main course were really good although many of the selection was fried foods so anything fried would taste good. With that said, a lot of the non-fried dishes are really good as well. We actually ordered another salad because it was so good! In terms of anything that stood out in particular, actually everything was pretty good including the olive muffins, which look plain, but are actually surprisingly good! I can’t comment on the dishes with liver though because I don’t eat liver but my husband and our friends said they liked it. I'd recommending coming here with a group of friends so you can order more dishes and try a few bites of each. If you like Gen Creative, you’ll like this place too, so I was pretty happy with the meal so far. The service was really good too. Our waiter was really nice and polite and took his time to explain each dish to us and give us genuine recommendations. However, when we got to the dessert, it was very disappointing and sadly, pretty plain. Nothing wowed me and everything was very ordinary actually. The presentation was nice so I was excited to try, but once I took a bite, I was pretty disappointed in how ‘just okay’ it was. Honestly, it was kind of a let down considering everything else was so good! Also, the dessert at Gen Creative is very creative and really good, so I was expecting a lot more from the dessert here. All in all, I would recommend Bottless for those looking for a good meal but I would probably go elsewhere for dessert!
